Bangladesh will play Qualifier 2 in the evening on October 3 in Dhaka as the hosts try to make a big impression in front of what is anticipated to be a sellout home crowd on the first day of the World Cup. The T20 World Cup will begin with a match between 2023 runners-up South Africa and England, setting the stage for an entertaining and intense eighteen days.
Australia, the reigning champions and most successful team in the event’s history, will begin their campaign on October 4 in Sylhet against Qualifier 1, while October 6 will see the much awaited match between India and Pakistan in Sylhet.
Group A and Group B’s top two teams will advance to the semi-finals, which are set for October 17 in Sylhet and October 18 in Dhaka. On October 20, the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka will host the crowning of the T20 World Cup champions.
The current ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, will produce Qualifiers 1 and 2, with the final scheduled for May 7. Each team is split into two groups of five, and each side plays each other once. The losers of these semifinal games will compete for the last berths in the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
